Our executive search methodology

We follow this process for each retained search assignment.

  • Write a comprehensive assignment brief. This is a key document to support the client mandate and it includes background information on the assignment, a job description (if required) and key selection criteria. It is an information source for candidates and confirms our understanding of the assignment.
  • Agree a target list with the client. This is a list of organisations to research in order to identify potential candidates to approach.
  • Produce a long list of potential candidates identified during the research exercise.
  • Approach target individuals on the long list and conduct thorough interviews.
  • Present a shortlist of candidates, complete with interview summaries.
  • Arrange interviews and communicate frequently with both parties.
  • Advise the client on offer remuneration structure to help ensure a successful acceptance and conclusion.
  • Maintain contact with both parties after assignment completion until the candidate has commenced employment.
